The ARIdrivingSim is a suite of modular solutions available for training and assessment in all essential aspects of driving. The ARIdrivingSim can simulate any type of vehicle. The present range includes an offering with hardware kits which can simulate operations of a Light Vehicle. Others like heavy vehicles, defense vehicles and special purpose vehicles can also be custom delivered.
The ARIdrivingSim offersa ‘near life-like’ fully interactive, immersive, flexible and non destructive training environment to train & assess drivers - both novice and experienced - repetitively on basic to special tasks for achieving safe and efficient operations. With realistic visuals, motion, and sound cues, these simulators represent the next generation of vehicle operations training. |

| |
The ARIdrivingSim is a highly scalable solution starting with Kit type personal trainers to a multiple PC instructor controlled solution and scaling up to a full mission solution which comprises a Vehicle Cab , Motion Systems with actual vehicle controls and display system.
The ARIdrivingSim is a fully functional, factory-configured simulator that integrates all the necessary Hardware and Software modules, Visual Systems, Visual resources, (an optional three-axis motion system) and a fully functional driver seating mechanism with steering wheel, pedals and instrumentation console to provide a 'life-like' driving experience. Features unique to the ARI driving Simulator are the use of COTS (commercial-off-the shelf) components, focus on Indian traffic generation, typical Indian road conditions and the presence of independent objects such as vehicles, stray animals, pedestrians, three wheelers, buses, etc. |

To achieve life-like traffic activities, all objects in the simulation interact with the traffic and the surrounding situation as would be expected in life-like traffic situations.
The ARIdrivingSim comes with a stock of driving scenarios and options to customize specific client requirements. The instructor Station incorporates a user interface that allows the instructor to observe the driver’s behavior and his reactions to the simulated driving situations. With the turn of an ignition key, the driver enters a virtual world and can manoeuvre the vehicle anywhere within the vast driving environment. Both before and during a driving session, the instructor can easily configure scenarios and define specific parameters to meet individual training objectives.
The simulation integrates various individual modules to provide a realistic reproduction of reality and behavioral characteristics while making the operation of the simulator extremely easy and intuitive for drivers and instructors alike. |

| Features |
| |
| Controls |
|
The controls emulate a real vehicle with actual driving controls including forward & reverse gears for Reverse driving simulation.
Vehicle controls are designed as plug and play and are interchangeable to suit vehicle type and can be customized to suit any vehicle and environment.

|
|
| |
| Visuals |
|
3D Computer Generated Imagery (3D CGI) scenarios under different situations and weather conditions provide realistic visuals depicting what an operator would actually see from a vehicle cabin.
A Virtual Environment with roads, shops, flyovers, vehicles, traffic lanes, people, animal, speed breakers, and traffic lights reflects an accurate representation of city conditions, highway conditions, etc.

|
|
| |
| Modeling |
|
Dynamic behavioral modeling of the driving and environmental conditions related to vehicle dynamics and High fidelity math models correctly simulate operations of a vehicle with full collision detection in a 3-D environment.
The simulation responds to instructor controlled parameters representing a range of weather conditions like rain, fog, day and night effects etc. Limitations and obstructions caused on the driving route by moving and stationary traffic, people movement, truck and animal movement are also incorporated. |
|
|
| |
| Audio |
|
The environment is made even more immersive through the use of high fidelity audio systems that deliver stereoscopic surround sound. Audio system combined with real life like visuals provide a wholly immersive atmosphere to make the training module a real learning experience. |

| Training Options |
|
ARIdrivingSim is available in Instructor mode, Self-training mode, and Multi-training to provide best fit for your training needs. Moreover simulator comes with stock of driving scenarios and options to customize specific client requirements. This gives clients flexibility to provide basic, to intermediate and expert levels of training. |

| Instructor Station |
|
The instructor can be provided with a separate view that enables him to see the driver performance and control, record and replay exercises. The instructor is also equipped with communication equipment to enable dialogue with the driver.
Vehicle parameters, route and environment settings, city and highway roads, obstacles, and traffic density settings can all be configured in variouspermutations and combinations to achieve a vast multitude of exercises for the enhanced training of the operators.
The Unique Stealth view feature lets the instructor control the field of view, visibility, and viewing areas by providing camera positioning controls. Instructor can very closely zoom-in on a particular object or a part of it and can monitor the trainee driver's activities very closely. The Debriefing of each trainee can be done on a large screen projection using this stealth view |

| Training Objectives |
| |
ARIdrivingSim has been designed to meet the following training objectives:
- Operational level
training in all essential aspects of vehicle
operation.
- Provide a platform for
training as per local laws and conditions.
- Following Road signs
and signals as per laws of the land.
- Emphasis on Driver
Safety and reduction of Accident Risk and cost.
- Familiarization with
the actual controls of the car and training
under different environmental and terrain
conditions, e.g. - rain, fog, uphill, downhill,
etc.
- Reduced overall
training time as there is faster assimilation of
new drivers due to “almost life like” non
destructive training on simulator.
- Ability to check the
psychomotor skills of the trainees for
screening.
- Ability to practice
hazardous or life-threatening scenarios
repetitively that would be dangerous and
impractical to practice ‘live’.
- Provide a mean for
objective performance evaluation of the trainee.
- It allows the trainees and trainers to analyze and understand the consequences of his ability and actions, without expensive downtime and repair costs. The trainer can introduce any type of simulated problem and assess the trainee’s reaction to it.
