The first installation of the new model has been done at AEMTC Mumbai – the Training division of the Anglo Eastern Group. Here the module resides in its full mission version – complete with a Deck Area with gauges, meters switches, valve operators, spool connections, and myriad other fittings and a fully functional CCR as on a real LNG Tanker. The physical depiction of all ship systems is ultra realistic - both in terms of complexity and appearance. All the simulated processes adhere to the actual capabilities of the equipment, including functional limitations and possible errors and failures. This simulator is being appreciated for its comprehensiveness, robustness and cost effectiveness not only in India but in other countries also. Next in line is the ‘INSTITUT SUPERIEUR MARITIME’ at Algeria where 4 modules of LCHS are being installed at the time of going to press.

The ARI LNG Simulator is designed specifically to achieve those high standards.”

While the release of this model was eagerly awaited for some time, industry sources claim that the ‘wait has been worth it’. In line with the earlier models of this range offered by ARI, the LNG model too combines superior heuristic algorithms with a flexible man-machine interface to deliver an unmatched comprehensive and realistic training experience. The model is based on an ultra modern Moss type LNG Carrier with a complete range of equipment including cargo pumps, spray pump, vaporizers, heaters, instrumentation & control systems, boil-off utilisation system, nitrogen generation system etc. Capt. ARI’s LNG Simulator is comprehensive training solution for training operational and management level trainees on all aspects of cargo handling operations onboard a LNG Tanker. All the processes including Loading and discharging of LNG; Cooling tanks prior loading; Changing the atmosphere of tanks; Using cargo vapours as fuel during passage; Calculating cargo, stability and stresses online and offline; and responding to dangerous situations arising out of high pressure or faulty equipment and procedures have been simulated.
