ARI to install Full Mission LCHS for Univan's Training facility in Mumbai.

Univan Ship Management, Hongkong recently chose ARI Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator for its swanky training facility in Mumbai , India . This is another milestone for Applied Research International (ARI), a New Delhi based simulation and software development organization, as the order comes one year after the successful installation and deployment of Full Mission Ship Handling and Full Mission Engine Room Simulators for Univan in Mumbai.

ARI's Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator is a scalable solution starting with a single PC instructor less solution and scaling up to a Full  Mission Multi Model solution which comprises of a cargo control console including pump and valve controls, mimic pipeline panel and cargo (deck) panel, Operators' Stations and Instructor station. The different configurations are easily expandable and most importantly, highly accurate.

Commenting on the choice of ARI Simulators, a UNIVAN spokesperson said “After evaluating proposals from major simulator manufacturers, we chose ARI not just for the quality of their simulators, but also because of their quick response times, flexibly designed solutions, and the scope for extensive customizations. ARI had already installed Full Mission Ship Handling and Full Mission Engine Room Simulators at our training facility in Mumbai and we had a very good experience with their simulators and support system. So ARI Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator is a logical choice for expansion of our training facility in Mumbai."

The system, in its present form, includes a Cargo Control Room with its own operating and monitoring panels and which can be instantly converted into the CCR of any of the ship types installed. Additionally each ship type has its own ‘deck area' with controls for valves, level indicators, gauges, gas meters, indicators, alarms, key switches, and myriad other controls relevant to that ship type. Further, there are individual trainee stations equipped to perform special duties specific to the currently chosen ship type. All the components are fully integrated into a single system centrally controlled by an Instructor operating from his own specially designed control station.

The system is amazingly flexible in the way it can be configured for use in a multitude of modes – from ‘one on one' single trainee mode to a large group operating on one or more ships using ‘real' or simulated controls in any or all combinations of above. Recognizing the fundamental fact that teamwork is the key to successful cargo operations, for the first time ever a system has been created that allows multiple players to participate in a single exercise in a completely seamless role-playing manner.

The installation of Full Mission Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator for Univan is vindication of the faith ARI clients put in ARI capabilities to innovate and deliver the cost effective and high tech simulators. Apart from being totally indigenously developed, ARI's Simulation Products are recognized as ‘best of breed' for their behavioral accuracy and unmatched visualizations. ARI simulators are manufactured by leveraging software- hardware expertise, deep domain knowledge and design talent and these products are backed up by reliable technical support and after sales services. ARI's continuous cooperation and multiple simulator installation for Training Institutes and Shipping Companies is a recognition of these qualities of ARI products and services.
