An Advanced Ship Maneuvering Simulator with stunning plasma screen displays and a PC based Engine Room Simulator was supplied and installed by ARI. The ship maneuvering simulator comprises the full mission bridge of a modern commercial vessel with 270 degrees visual range equipped with modern ECDIS, ARPA/Radar and other navigational aids and an interactive Instructor station for control and monitoring of exercises.
Trainees can carry out navigation, berthing, un-berthing and maneuvering operations in varying conditions of visibility, wind force, tide and current. Training for emergency conditions through introduction of ‘fault’ and 'breakdown' conditions reinforces and improves navigators response to emergency conditions such as: Vessel engine failure, Vessel steering failure, Tug failure, sudden rise in wind speed etc.
A high degree of physical and behavioral realism of ARI simulators creates an immersive environment where training is carried out in a near real world scenario.
ARI has been one of the key drivers of usage of marine simulation in training for several years now.
