ARI ties up with Indian Navy for multiple simulator installations |

Applied Research International (ARI) is the only company in India which has indigenously developed more than 20 world class simulators and IT products for the maritime enterprises. Besides contributing to the larger cause of promoting maritime education and training, ARI is doing ground breaking work in setting new benchmarks in maritime education coupled with latest simulation technologies.
In the last year , the Indian Navy has placed orders for RADAR / ARPA Simulator and GMDSS Simulator for its training facilities at INS Venduruthy, Kochi. The GMDSS simulator will be installed and commissioned at Signal School , Kochi by end of 2005. The RADAR / ARPA simulator has already been installed and is being used for training by the Indian Navy.

The ARI RADAR/ARPA Simulator is modeled on the latest Radar sets fitted on-board ships. It complies with RADAR performance standards (Section A-1/12) and guidance (Section B-1/12) of the STCW code. It meets IMO performance standards of MSC resolution A477(xii), A823(xix) for RADAR equipment and MSC resolution A823(ii) for ARPA equipment. Its application include conducting of various RADAR/ARPA simulator courses for navigators at operational and management level. The simulator emulates all the functionality found on a modern marine radar as well as providing control over traffic density, waterways, sea state and weather conditions. The simulator is extremely efficient and cost-effective. The simulator meets and exceeds existing international requirements including those set forth by STCW ’95.
ARI GMDSS Simulator is very comprehensive and realistic simulator containing entire range of simulated communication equipment including VHF, HF, MF, SAT C and SAT A , SART, EPIRB and NAVTEX Equipment. All equipment accurately replicate the functionality and operations of the real equipment as existing on-board. The system has capability and functionality to successfully conduct GMDSS GOC Course as per IMO Model Course 1.25. It fully complies with IMO resolution A.703(17) and the latest STCW code recommendations. The ARI GMDSS Simulator is designed to meet global needs for a cost-effective and user-friendly training system. Trainees can familiarize themselves with and exhaustively use equipment normally found on a GMDSS compliant vessel.
ARI simulators are IMO compliant, and specific configurations are type approved by the Govt. of India. ARI has rich experience of around 70 simulator installations around the world and our customers includes some of the premier enterprises across the globe comprising of Defense Establishments, Government Bodies, Ship Management and Ship Owning Companies, Ports, Naval Establishments and Training Institutes.
