Courses Intake: 40 trainees per batch
Entry Standards
PHASE - II + 36 months sea service after 2M FG COC including at least 12 months sea service after PHASE - II or
30 months sea service after 2M FG COC if Chief Officer for 12 months.

The examination for this course is conducted by Mercantile Marine Department (MMD) at Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta and the certificate of competency is awarded to only those candidates who have successfully qualified in the following:
Sea Service requirements
Passed written examination
Completed all relevant STCW courses
Passed orals.
The candidates are required to book their examination seats well in advance at the MMD Examination centers (MUMBAI/CHENNAI/CALCUTTA) .
