The syllabus covers the Guidelines given in standards of competence for officer in charge of an engineering watch in a manned engine room or designated duty engineers in a periodically unmanned engine room (MEO Class IV) in accordance with STCW'95 as given in META manual Vol. II published by D.G. Shipping.
The course provides proficiency at Operational level in the following:
Marine Engineering Knowledge (General)
Marine Engineering Knowledge (Motor)
Marine Electro technology
Naval Architecture and Ship Construction
Ship's Safety and Environmental Protection and Personal Care
Orals for all of the above |

| On completion of this course the student will have received required knowledge to appear in MEO class IV part 'B' examination. Conducted by Chief Examiner of Engineer officers in the Merchant Navy Govt of India. |
