The Bridge Resource Management program has been specially designed to provide practical training to meet the increasing demands on seafarers.
The industry recognizes that in addition to technically competent officers, effective and efficient functioning of the vessel depends on the integration of technical knowledge and skills with resource management principles, which ensures the effective utilization of all available resources on-board. |

The focus of the Bridge Resource Management program at ARI is threefold:
1. To introduce the concepts of resource management by creating awareness amongst participants for effective functioning as a team.
2. To provide practical and realistic examples of shipboard application.
3. To create an environment where personal and professional goals can be developed so that long-term change is initiated. |

| Course Features |

In order to create a platform for meaningful change, ARI utilizes a range of teaching mediums and methods including group exercises, discussions, role-playing and simulation on ship simulator.
All topics are covered with shipboard examples and case studies and the ARI team builds on the experiences of the participants to assist in development of insight and personal gain.
The participants undergo an individual one-on-one guidance session with the marine psychologist who provides feedback to the participants in terms of their strengths and weakness vis-a-vis effective working practices.
The course can be customized to include and company specific guidelines. |
